Peter Denies That He Even Knows Jesus

⁶⁹ Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. And one servant-girl came to him, saying, “You also were with Jesus the Galilean”. ⁷⁰ But the one denied it in front of everyone, saying, “I do not know what you are saying”. ⁷¹ And he having gone out to the gate^[a], another saw him. And she says to the ones there, “This one was with Jesus the Nazarene”.
